About us
We are a church of mixed community that meets at the vicinity of the city of Shillong (India).
While some of the saints are new believers from other religious background most of us are those who had been disillusioned with life in the institutional church. As such some of us started gathering together on our own seeking God to show us His ways for His church. As we did that the Lord brought revelations of what His church should be like and began to bring a change in the way we thought and did church. Since then life in the church and the Body of Christ hasn't been the same for us anymore. It’s been six years down the line and the Lord has been faithfully working in us in order to work through us.
It seems everyday we are learning things anew. We are thankful to the Lord for sending some of His servants to us to teach and to shed light on many issues we lacked. And although at present we continue to meet in a rented hall, our gatherings are however participatory in nature. Most of the believers whom the Lord has connected to us are illiterate and hand to mouth people and yet we rejoice in the fact that in Christ we are exceedingly rich. It's a wondrous joy to see sinners saved and lives changed.
The Lord has also been using us to reach out to individuals and some other churches in and around our region here with the message of restoring the New Testament church and Godly family life.
As a church we continue to seek the Lord as we gather around Him day by day to hear His voice and to obey and follow Him no matter what the cost. Our desire is what the Lord Himself desires. That He would build us – His church in His own sovereign way for His own glory.
We believe that the Church is of the Lord, by the Lord and for the Lord, and to that end we humbly lay down our lives at His feet as we seek His Glorious face so that He would take us and transform us more and more into His image.
